Good Morning Chicago Blackhawks Fans!
The Chicago Blackhawks may not be playing the Conference Finals this year, but that doesn’t mean if your an NHL Fan that the Conference Finals are off to a boring start.
Both the Eastern and Western Conference Finals are all knotted up at 1 each with the games shifting cities for Game #3. The most exciting goal of course came from none other than Sidney Crosby when he scored the Game #2 overtime winner against the Tampa Bay Lighting to avoid an 0-2 hole heading to the Sunshine State.
The biggest storyline was the fact that Crosby had broken the tie and his scoring drought, but for me it was the fact that Crosby hadn’t scored an overtime winner until that point. There is an interesting stat from the playoffs, and that is the fact that the Chicago Blackhawks since 2000 have won the most overtime games in the NHL.

In the Western Conference the San Jose Sharks shut out the St. Louis Blues last night and now head back home having stole home ice advantage. The Sharks were an incredible road team this season, but couldn’t hardly muster up a win on home ice, but since their first two home playoff games against the LA Kings have been able to win on a regular basis at the Shark tank. It’s tough not watching the Hawks play, but at least the theater of the playoffs is still very good.
