As a writer for Blackhawk Up, it’s been an honor to write about the Chicago Blackhawks for over two years.  I’d also like to thank everyone who supports us along the way.

I started writing for Blackhawk Up in November of 2014.  Back then, our first installment was always an introductory post of sorts.  I remember being so excited when I actually received a comment.  LA told me, “I look forward to more articles from you.”

Well, fast forward to the present, and I receive comments from LA all the time.  I consider him a friend, even though I’ve never met him.  My point here is two-fold.  LA is a Chicago Blackhawks fan, and he wants to talk about the Chicago Blackhawks.  I’m a Chicago Blackhawks fan, and I want to talk about the Chicago Blackhawks.  How could we possibly go wrong?!

Now let me be clear.  LA doesn’t respond exclusively to just me.  He likes to put his two cents worth in to all the writers; and we love it!

He reacted to our Colin Likas recently with this: “I wish we could extract comment threads, as I’ve been regurgitating what you’ve highlighted yet again, Tootoo offers nothing offensively and that Hinostroza would be a significant offensive boost…moreover, I was also begging the question about Motte, but of course, Q back to his stubborn self, deflects and resists resulting in woulda, shoulda moments! I’m certain that his 1st instincts are similar to our wish but then he overthinks and does the opposite!”

LA also answered to writer Mario Tirabassi with this: “Hopefully, the aforementioned prospects are given a fair opportunity during training camp!”

Here’s a few more comments by LA.:

“Now if only we can get our Coach Q on board to actually coach these young players and have those teachable moments! It appears that the youngins are hesitant because of making a mistake and getting yanked and sent to Rockford and this clearly isn’t the best way 2build confidence!

“Looking 4ward, I seriously hope that DeBrincat, Fortin, and others, particularly, some of the younger D-Men, are given every opportunity to make the team during training camp and that Q won’t fight it and actually coach them cause it’s apparent that the need for youth is necessary as our core has aged and other teams are getting younger with experience!”

I have to admit, I have an alternative motive here, and LA has been integral in helping me make my point.  Teachable moments, people!  Next season is about the infusion of the youth, and Coach Q embracing and coaching them towards success.

My final point is this.  We are all here to talk about the Chicago Blackhawks.  As writers, it’s absolutely lovely to get input from readers on our site, Twitter and Facebook.  We love to interact with you.  Thank you for your fandom, your readership, your input and your support.  We couldn’t do this without you.

Please stay tuned this summer, as we will attempt to keep you entertained during another very long offseason.

Here’s one final quote from LA, “Anyway.. GoHawks in 2017/2018!!!”
