Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- We Are The Champions

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks rookies after losing their first game of the tournament won 3 straight games including a 3-2 win in the championship game to win the Traverse City Rookie Tournament. 

Ok, I know we have been talking about this for over a week now, but Alex DeBrincat has proved once again that he has a nose for scoring goals. He had two last night including the game winning goal of the Championship game.

Will DeBrincat make the team out of training camp, I would say he’s moved from 10 percent to at least 25 percent chance with the most likely destination for him to end up in is Rockford.

The thing is being a true scorer is what the Hawks will be missing with the departure of Artemi Panarin to the Columbus Blue Jackets.  Patrick Sharp used to be a pure scorer, but I like you have no idea what’s left in his tank, so if Sharp fails or gets injured the natural person to join Patrick Kane on the second line in my eyes is DeBrincat, because he just has a nose for putting pucks into the back of the net!

We have seen too many players come and go with tons of natural ability including speed like Viktor Stalberg that just couldn’t finish so having a weapon in the arsenal no matter how big he is or how well he practices is who I want to see on the ice!
