Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! We only 10 short days away from the 2017-2018 seasons opener, but the Hawks still have 3 preseason games left including tonight’s trip to Boston to faceoff against the Bruins.

Right after the game Saturday night, the Chicago Blackhawks optioned Alexandre Fortin to Rockford which was a little disappointing because I was hoping to see him play a little bit more this preseason.  Fortin will be part of the reasons that the IceHogs will be more fun to watch this season.

The real question is why are the Hawks still holding on to Tomas Jurco? He’s ok I guess, but he really doesn’t do anything for me.  The one thing that is certain is that Stan Bowman doesn’t like to give up on players that they trade for with a draft pick.  If you are asking for an example, it’s David Rundblad.

Instead of Jurco, I would really like to see Vinnie Hinostroza playing that role player spot on the fourth line, and I’m hoping he’s playing tonight in Boston.

The fourth line is where all the question lie for the Blackhawks as they still have 3 warmups for the regular season.  It seems like Tanner Kero will be the fourth line center, but who surrounds him is still up in the air, and this line will be critical in how the Hawks play this coming season in my opinion.  The last time the Hawks won the Stanley Cup they were able to roll four lines with the likes of Andrew Shaw skating on the bottom line.
