Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks are home for another rivalry night on NBCSN when the Original 6 New York Rangers come to town to faceoff against our favorite team at the United Center.

NBCSN has done this rivalry thing for a few years now, and everyone always seems to blast them for the matchups.  The Blackhawks and Rangers haven’t been in the same division in my lifetime so calling them rivals is kind of silly, but it does mean the Hawks are on National TV tonight.

I really don’t care what the game is called, the one thing the Chicago Blackhawks need to do is start putting together some wins.  They made a really nice comeback on Saturday night to steal a win in Carolina, but then they came home and let the New Jersey Devils dominate most of the 2nd period and third to win going away.

The Chicago Blackhawks now face a New York Rangers team that is circling .500 just like the Blackhawks are currently.  The Blackhawks are in the middle of transition, and it will be up to Stan Bowman to decide if the Hawks are going to try and go deep in the playoffs this season or will they just try to make ends meet with what they have on the roster right now.

If you ask me and at last check no one from the Chicago Blackhawks front office is asking, You have to send a defenseman down and call up Vinnie Hinostroza and see if his speed can be disruptive enough to help the offense score on a consistent basis.  He’s off to a very good start in Rockford so I don’t see this being a big deal.  The other thing is please at least for a couple of games let Alex DeBrincat play with Patrick Kane with either Artem Anisimov or Nick Schmaltz in the middle..  Joel Quenneville has tried everything but the most obvious line!

Here are some morning links to start your Gameday….errrr Rivalry Night!
