The Chicago Blackhawks have lost 5 straight games and will be looking to break their streak as the Buffalo Sabres visit for their only time this season.

The Chicago Blackhawks are in the midst of one of their worst stretches in a few years, and if they are going to break out of it,  the schedule makers gave the Chicago Blackhawks a gift with the Buffalo Sabres coming to town.

The Chicago Blackhawks need to find a way to score and score early tonight which is something they have been struggling to do on a regular basis.  The Blackhawks have been digging themselves a hole which this roster doesn’t have the ability to climb out of this season.

The one thing the Chicago Blackhawks have been able to count on is their goaltending, but on Wednesday night Anton Forsberg let one in that really was unexplainable and that’s all it took for the Capitals to pile on and destroy the Blackhawks.

More from Blackhawks News

The worst part of watching the game on Wednesday was the lines that Joel Quenneville threw out there.  None of them made much sense, but it was good to see Lance Bouma crashing the net for the only meaningful goal for the Chicago Blackhawks.

Who knows what Coach Q will whip up tonight, but I really want to see Patrick Kane with Alex DeBrincat for a game and at least see what they can do.  They were together for one shift and got a good chance so I’m not sure why this combo hasn’t played together yet this year.
