Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! If you stayed up to watch the Chicago Blackhawks play before the Christmas break I have one thing to say, I’m sorry!

The Chicago Blackhawks for the second straight game gave up goals in the first period, and the game was basically over before the third period began.

On tonight’s episode we got to watch Patrick Sharp go from the outhouse to the Top line in one game which makes absolutely no sense to me.

If Stan Bowman was upset after the Chicago Blackhawks were swept out of the playoffs against the Nashville Predators last spring, then he should be furious after watching the Hawks play with no heart or hustle at all for two straight games.

The Hawks had won 5 games in a row, and they looked like they had figured some things out, but after a long break between games, they have looked pretty pathetic for two straight games heading to another long winter break.

It’s not the first time the Hawks have thrown out real stinkers before long breaks being Holiday or Olympic, but in years past they were a dominant team.  This season they really have no room for these kind of efforts especially two games in a row.

Stan Bowman has to makes some moves after the break.  This stagnant bunch needs a shakeup, and the problem is there are too many players that need to be woken up.  You can blame Patrick Sharp all you want, but to me Jonathan Toews and Richard Panik are bigger problems.

Toews just isn’t the same player. Brandon Saad was supposed to be the wake up call he needed, but the bell just hasn’t been answered.

Panik signed a new deal, and he’s been awful.  He’s had some bad luck that may have shaken his confidence, but it doesn’t look like he’s the same player that we watched last season.

Stan needs to makes something happen and quickly before the season is a complete bust! Here are some morning links to start your Christmas Eve.
