The Chicago Blackhawks have had four legendary players win the Norris Trophy

The Chicago Blackhawks are an Original Six franchise, but they do not have a long history of having many Norris Trophy winners on their blue line.

Their lineage regarding that award is on par with how many Hart Trophy winners their franchise has had.

The neat thing is that three of the four winners the club has had win the Norris Trophy have won the NHL's top defenseman honor multiple times.

Duncan Keith is the team's most recent winner, and he won the Norris Trophy twice last decade. He first won the honor during the 2010 Stanley Cup season. The Blackhawks should have won the cup in 2014, but were eliminated by the Los Angeles Kings in Game 7 of the Western Conference.

Keith won the Norris Trophy that season, and then the Conn Smythe the next season, when the Hawks claimed their third title in the last decade. Keith was a pillar of those three Stanley Cup Championships. The two Norris Trophies are a part of a legendary career that should get him into the Hall of Fame once he is eligible.

Chris Chelios was also a multi-time Norris Trophy winner during his amazing tenure with the Blackhawks during the 1990s. He won the honors in 1993 and 1996.

Doug Wilson is the only blueliner among the four players who have won the award that earned the trophy once.

It was an amazing 1981-82 season Wilson had. He scored 39 goals and had 46 assists. It is not everyday a defenseman scores nearly 40 goals, but Wilson pulled it off on his way toward winning the Norris Trophy.

Pierre Pilote won the Norris Trophy the most in club history. He won the award for three straight seasons between 1963 and 1965. Doug Harvey, Bobby Orr, and Nicklas Lindstrom are the only other players to win the Norris three seasons in a row.
