The Chicago Blackhawks have two of their players in the top ten when it comes to jerseys being sold on NHLShop.com, in years past there would be a handful of Hawks on this list, so having two in the top ten is pretty great for the team.
For a long time Patrick Kane would be one of the top jerseys sold around the league, this year though there is a different Hawk towards the top of the list. New netminder Marc-Andre Fleury has the third most sold jersey this year - I think that shows the hype around the team's new goaltender.
Fleury has done it all in his career. Seeing him join the Blackhawks is still something that I am trying to wrap my head around. Seeing him on the ice has been fantastic, especially just seeing him in the team's uniform.
Even though the season did not start off great, seeing Fleury with the Blackhawks was still amazing, plus he got to experience a piece of his 500 wins with the team. The Blackhawks might not get to keep Fleury after this season, but being able to say the future hall of famer stopped even briefly with the team is going to be a plus in my book.
Chicago's next game is on January 1st against the Nashville Predators. That will be the first time the team will have Fleury in the net since December 17th when Fleury played his last game against the Nashville Predators.
The Blackhawks have been on a long pause due to the pandemic that has been passing through the NHL. Having the team back playing games is going to be great to see in a few days.
Congratulations to Marc-Andre Fleury on having the third most sold jersey this past year. He is in pretty good company in the top five with players like Ovechkin, Crosby, Matthews, and McDavid. Hopefully next year all those Fleury jerseys will be still relevant after he spends another year with the team.
